Ephesians 6:10-20 - The Armor of God
Game Ideas
Wearing My Armor
Directions: Bring in some silly items that the children can wear for the different pieces of the armor. Here are some ideas:
Helmet of Salvation: A silly hat
Breast Plate of Righteousness: A vest turned around (buttons in the back) with a cross tapped on
Shield of Faith: A pillow in a sham (so they can put their hands into it)
Belt of Truth: An old belt
Shoes of Peace: Large shoes or slippers
Sword of the Spirit: A large roll from wrapping paper and a paper towel roll that is cut and glued to make a sword
Give each child a chance to play with the armor after you finish telling the entire lesson.
Pin the Helmet on the Soldier
Directions: Prepare for this game by printing out the armor template (below). You may want to blow the picture up further, if you like. Make enough helmets (template below) for each child to have one. During class, blindfold one child at a time and direct him to the wall where the armor is hanging. Have each child try to tape the helmet on top of the armor and see who gets it closest.
