Jeopardy Bible Quiz Game

Preparation: Before class you will need to come up with five categories with and five questions within each category. Have your master list ready for the class, so you can render whether questions are answered right or wrong.

Setup: You will need a chalk board or white board for this game. Draw a grid with five squares across and five squares down. Then, write categories, such as Bible Characters, Bible Events, Bible Foods, etc. at the top of each row. Number below each category 10, 20, 30, 40, 50. These are the points the players will win for answering questions correctly. The first question in each category receives 10 points, second question 20 points, etc.

To Play: Divide the class into two teams (can be boys/girls, by age, etc.). Select a team captain for each team. The captain will be the one who answers the questions for the team. However, all the players will discuss and agree upon answers before the captain renders an answer. Flip a coin to see which team will go first. The first team will choose a category and how many points they will try to win. If they answer correctly, they receive the number of points for that question. If they miss the question, the opposing team gets to try and answer, and gets to take the next turn. Play continues until all the questions are answered.

Baseball Bible Quiz Game

Preparation: Make up questions from a Bible lesson that you recently did in class. Have a master sheet with answers for your quick reference. Decide on how many innings you want to have in the game, depending on the size of your class (more innings for a smaller class, less for a larger class).

Setup: Construct a baseball diamond and two sets of markers to represent the two teams. Each team will need four markers of a different color.

To Play: Divide the class into two teams. Flip a coin to see which team goes first. The first person up to bat must answer a question correctly with no help from his teammates. If he answers correctly, his marker goes to first base. If he answers incorrectly, the question goes to the next batter on the team and the team receives an out. After three outs, it is the next team's turn at bat.

"Face" the Facts Bible Quiz Game

To Play: This Bible quiz game is a big hit with many Sunday School classes. It is ideal for upper elementary kids. The kids are to identify the Bible characters by looking at their faces. The neat thing is that the faces are drawn using the letters of their names as features. The letters can be drawn in any orientation, and may be stretched a bit where appropriate. You can print out the example below to use in your classroom, or to give you additional ideas of other characters you can draw yourself using MS Word, or you can simply draw your faces on a transparency or white board.

Happy quizzing!
