The ideas below may help you when teaching your preschoolers a lesson about Peter raising Dorcas (Tabitha) from the dead. Feel free to use these ideas to supplement your current curriculum or to make your own lesson.
Acts 9:32-42
Directions: Each player carries a paper plate with a feather on it from the start line to the finish line. If the feather blows off the plate, the child must go back to the starting line and place the feather back on the plate to begin again. The first player to cross the finish line is the winner. If you have several winners, have a play-off to determine the grand winner.
Directions: You will need to sets of identical blocks for this game. Before class, develop a sheet of commands for building a tower out of the blocks. For instance you may say, "place one red block on the floor. Place a blue block on the left side of the red block." Keep going with commands until all of the blocks in a set are used.
Form two teams. Have both teams on opposite sides of the room. Start giving the verbal commands for building the tower. Each team must work together to be sure they are building the tower correctly. When all of the commands are given, decide which team built the tower correctly. It may be that both teams will build it right or wrong. Play again if time permits.

Applesauce cups and ginger bread cookies.
Directions: Have the children flip through old magazines and cut out pictures of things that make them happy. Have them glue their pictures to a large sheet of construction paper. Title the sheets "Happy Collage" and write a Bible verse on the bottom before giving to the children. Everyone was happy when Dorcas was alive again.
Preparation: Print the templates (one boy template, one girl template) below on cardstock, cut out, and make sure there is one person for each child.
