4-by-6-inch scraps of felt
Needle and thread
Dried beans

Sew two squares of felt together on three sides, leaving a space on the fourth side big enough to slide in the bag of beans.

Art Center Ideas
See-Through Crown
Materials:
Colored and patterned paper
Scissors
Glitter
Stars
Sequins
Clear packaging tape
Directions:
Cut out narrow strips of paper and lay them in a line, about 10 inches long, on a table.
Sprinkle glitter, stars, and sequins over the strips of paper.
Place one length of tape over your decorated crown and press it down firmly. Carefully peel it off the table and turn it over.
Press another length of tape, so the paper and decorations are sealed in a pocket of tape.
Make another strip of paper and decorations the same way and join the pieces of tape together with more tape to form a crown.
Keep going until the crown fits around the child's head.
Glitter Mask
Materials:
Cardstock paper
Scissors
Hole punch
Paper reinforcements
Glue (or glitter glue)
Glitter (various colors; optional, if using glitter glue)
Elastic cord
Directions:
Fold the paper in half and draw half a mask shape (the folded edge is the middle of the mask). Cut it out.
Cut out eyes in the mask. Punch two holes on the sides of the mask and reinforce the holes with paper reinforcements.
Spread glue all over the mask (or use glitter glue). Sprinkle on different colors of glitter, covering the mask well. Let dry.
Thread elastic through the holes at the sides of the mask and tie knots to secure the elastic, after making sure that the mask is the right size to fit the child's head.
