Stone Tablet Craft

Materials:

Preparation: Cut two stone tablet shapes out of the grocery bag. Glue around the outside edge of the tablet, leaving the bottom open, and press the two tablets together. Let this dry with something heavy sitting on top to avoid getting wrinkles in the paper.

Directions:

  1. Give each child a tablet (the two sides glued together makes one tablet).
  2. Let them decorate it with crayons. They can practice writing the numbers 1 through 10.
  3. Once they are done with the decorating, give each child some Poly-fil to stuff inside of the tablets (where you left it open on the bottom). Once that is done, staple the bottom shut.

Suggested Prayer (or use your own)

God who made both moon and star, I know you love us, whoever we are.
