Xtreme Encounter: A Salvation Space Journey
This curriculum is available through Close Encounters Ministries. All kids love space, so capitalize on their love of the outer limits with this package that teaches kids all about NASA (or also known as Needing a Savior Always). This is a five-day vacation bible school package that teaches kids that God came to the Earth to offer salvation to every person. This package comes complete with training for teachers and songs that are catchy and fun to learn. In addition, the Xtreme Encounter package comes with a story book, a music CD and lyrics, workshop ideas, complimenting Bible stories, craft and science ideas and much more. For one price, you will also receive a complimentary theme pack for the preschoolers in your program, too. This package costs $99.
Rainforest AdventureThis curriculum is new for 2008. Kids are completely captivated by the rainforest and all the creatures inside it. With the Rainforest Adventure vacation bible school package, you can let your and your kids’ imagination run wild. This package includes Bible stories, as well as interactive games, music, art, science, worship ideas and even creative dramatics using the rainforest theme. Characters in this series are fun and easy to identify with and include the butterfly named Shari, Bill the toucan, Tad the frog, Esme the parrot and Cleo the howler monkey. In addition, you have the ability to hop on the company’s website to access the message boards and get ideas for all sorts of ideas for crafts, songs and activities to compliment the VBS package. This package costs $69.
Friendship TrekThis curriculum is another popular choice for vacation bible school for summer 2008. Kids need to learn how to be friends and how to get along with others. This package applies that lesson perfectly. Children learn that friends are a special gift from God and you can use Friendship Trek to go through the Bible to see how Jesus treated his friends and how be can be a forever friend for everyone. This is a great package because you can order the starter pack and build on it, or you can get add-ons that include craft and activities, songs and games. The Super Value Pack is a little more, but includes just about everything you need to get kids learning this summer, including the directors packet.
